I started my 30 year career in the travel industry aboard the Carnivale, one of Carnival Cruise Line first ships, as a Croupier in the onboard casinos. After sailing with Carnival Cruises for a time I decided to make a change and went to work for Altair Airlines where I stayed until they closed in 1982. In May of 1983, I began my career with C I Travel and have never looked back.
I have worked in different positions within CI Travel; as a Consultant in a branch office, as a Leisure Office Manager and within several specialty niche departments. I recently had the opportunity to return to doing what I like best, planning custom vacations tailored to fulfill each client’s dreams.
I have a passion for travel and the love of seeing and learning about other cultures and places are what really drive my enthusiasm for the industry. Europe holds an allure for me that is unrivaled, leading me to explore most of that continent over the years. Italy, particularly the Amalfi Coast, has become my favorite destination, however. I have been visiting that country at least once a year for the last 10 years and never tire of the experience. I am so enamored with all things Italian I have attained a Specialist Certification from Alitalia Airlines.
Aside from Italy, I have taken two trips that really stand out from the rest. The first was a Safari in Kenya. It was surreal to be so close to the animals freely roaming in their natural habitats without enclosures or barriers between us. In contrast, the cruise and land tour I took to Cairo, Egypt and along the famous Nile was truly once in a lifetime. Standing at the base of the pyramids brought into sharp focus the ingenuity it took to create these marvelous structures able to withstand thousands of years in such a harsh landscape.
